About Phimai Legal
A practice built on patience, principle, and genuine care for families
We started with a conviction that family legal matters deserve a different pace — one that allows people space to think, ask questions, and make decisions they can stand behind.

How Phimai Legal came to be
Phimai Legal was established in Nakhon Ratchasima by a small group of Thai-qualified lawyers who had grown tired of the rushed, transaction-focused approach common in large urban firms. They believed that families in the Korat region — and the many international residents and couples connected to it — deserved legal counsel that treated each matter with individual care.
The practice opened its doors quietly, relying entirely on word of mouth and referrals from local counsellors, social workers, and community organisations. That low-key beginning suited us well. It meant the clients who found us were genuinely looking for a different kind of legal relationship — one built on listening rather than billable hours.
Today, Phimai Legal handles family matters exclusively. That focus is deliberate. Family law in Thailand sits at the intersection of civil procedure, cultural expectation, and deeply personal circumstance. Doing this work well requires depth, not breadth. We have chosen depth.
Our Mission
To offer family legal services that are calm, transparent, and genuinely centred on the wellbeing of the people involved — not simply the outcome of the case.
Our Values
- Patience in all client interactions
- Plain language, always
- Strict professional confidentiality
- Mediation before litigation

Professional Standards
How we maintain quality and trust
Lawyers Council Registration
All practising lawyers at Phimai Legal are fully registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand (สภาทนายความ) and maintain their annual standing in good order.
Client Confidentiality Protocol
A formal confidentiality protocol governs how client information is stored, accessed, and retained. Documents are kept in a secure case management system with restricted access.
Written Summaries Standard
Every consultation concludes with a plain-language written summary. This is not optional — it is part of our standard process to make sure nothing important is forgotten or misunderstood.
Continuing Professional Development
Our lawyers complete annual CPD in family law, including updates on Thai Civil and Commercial Code amendments and developments in cross-border family matters.
Bilingual Documentation
Key documents are available in both Thai and English. Where official translation is required for court or administrative purposes, we coordinate certified translation services.
Transparent Fee Structure
Fees are agreed in writing before any engagement begins. Adjustments require written consent. There are no surprises added to your account after the fact.
Family legal services in Nakhon Ratchasima
Phimai Legal works with individuals and families navigating some of the most personal decisions in their lives. Our focus on family law in Nakhon Ratchasima — sometimes called Korat — reflects a commitment to this community and the surrounding region of northeastern Thailand.
Family matters under Thai law span a wide range of circumstances: marital arrangements, separation, child custody considerations, and documentation for families with both Thai and foreign members. Each situation has its own legal texture. Our role is to help clients understand what that texture means for them, in language that does not require a law degree to follow.
The unhurried approach we take is not simply a style preference — it reflects a belief that better decisions come from clearer understanding, and clearer understanding takes time. We make that time available.
