What Clients Say

In their own words

SR

Siriporn R.

Nakhon Ratchasima

I came to Phimai Legal not knowing what questions to ask. The lawyer sat with me for nearly two hours and never once made me feel like I was taking too long. The written summary they gave me afterwards was something I read several times over the following week. It helped me think clearly at a time when I really could not.

As someone dealing with a family situation in a country where I do not speak the language fluently, I was worried about things being lost in translation. It was not an issue at all. The team handled everything in English and Thai without any awkwardness, and always made sure I understood exactly where things stood.

The mediation took about six weeks in our case, which felt slow at moments. But looking back, that pace was right for us — both sides needed time to adjust. The lawyer managing the process never pushed, which I think is why we actually reached an agreement. Some of these things cannot be rushed, and Phimai Legal seemed to understand that.

What I appreciated most was that at the first meeting they did not assume they knew what I needed. They just listened. After that session, I felt much calmer — not because the situation had changed, but because I finally understood it properly. The document they sent me laid out every option without bias, which helped me talk to my family about it more calmly too.

Cross-border family matters in Thailand involve a lot of paperwork and procedure that most people have no idea about. Phimai Legal handled all of it quietly and without drama. They kept me updated whenever something moved forward, and when things were slow they explained why. I never felt left in the dark.

I had consulted another lawyer before coming here and felt like a case number rather than a person. Phimai Legal was different from the first phone call. They did not rush the initial meeting, asked careful questions, and gave me a clear written summary before I left. It was the first time I felt genuinely informed about my own situation.

Case Studies

How matters have moved forward

The following case studies are based on real engagement types, with identifying details changed to protect client privacy.

Case Study A — Family Agreement & Mediation

The situation

Two parents with different nationalities, living in Nakhon Ratchasima, needed to agree on custody arrangements for two young children following a separation. Both wanted to remain present in the children's lives but had difficulty communicating without tension.

What we did

We held separate introductory sessions with each parent, then facilitated three joint mediation sessions over five weeks. The lawyer prepared a draft arrangement after the second session, which both parties reviewed and amended before signing.

The outcome

A written, signed family arrangement document was in place within seven weeks. Neither parent needed to attend court. The arrangement held at the six-week follow-up and both reported the process was less difficult than they had anticipated.

"We both left the final session feeling like we had managed something together rather than won or lost something."

Case Study B — Full Family Matter Case

The situation

A client came to us after receiving legal papers from a former spouse. The matter involved property, documentation, and a hearing at the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Court. The client had no previous experience of Thai legal proceedings.

What we did

We took on full representation. Each procedural step was explained in writing before it occurred. The client attended two hearings, accompanied by our lawyer at both. Updates were sent every ten to fourteen days throughout the five-month period.

The outcome

The matter was resolved through a court-approved settlement, avoiding a contested final hearing. The client received a closing report summarising the outcome and any ongoing obligations. The total duration was five months from first instruction.

"I went into it terrified. By the end I understood what had happened and why, which made all the difference."
